The National Women’s Suffrage Monument
The US President signed a law that authorizes The National Women’s Suffrage Monument to be placed somewhere in Washington DC.
The Law specifies that no Federal funds will be used for this effort and our new non-profit has seven years to raise what could amount to millions of dollars.
We are Here
The Site Selection
The Artist, Architect and Memorial Sponsor work with the National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission to determine the appropriate Site in Washington DC for the National Women’s Suffrage Monument.
This Process took 3.5 years for the Desert Storm Memroial
Once the Site has been determined the Artist and Architect will continue to work with the National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission to approve the final National Women’s Suffrage Monument Design on the selected Site.
This process could take an additional 2 years.
Monument Construction Drawings & Cost
The Site and final Monument Design are approved now the Artist and Architect select materials and develop construction drawings for approval.
The process could take an additional 2 years.
Construction Permit Granted
The National Park Service will grant a construction premit when all the Construction drawings have been approved and we can show we have all the money raised. The final Cost will come into focus as we move forward. The cost of previous memorials compiled by the Fallen Journalists Memorial Foundation has been in the millions of dollars.
